Goals of this space are to provide an alternative to what we commonly take for granted with social media, a way to be able to talk into the void, share my thoughts but not throw away my privacy in doing so. FC is a thinly veiled reference to an alias I have used since I was about 12 years old.

If someone were so inclined they could possibly research me based on this, and that's fine. I don't intend to remain purely anonymous. I'm not a prepper living in the woods.

But I do have a lot of concerns that we freely throw away our privacy in exchange for so-thought of free services. There is no such thing as a free lunch - if we aren't paying for the service, then we and our data are the content. All names have been changed or abbreviated to protect the innocent and guilty alike.
